MEET OUR TEAM

Mayra Tuiche is an intern at the Global BioAccess Fund, where she is responsible for conducting scientific and commercial analysis across different therapeutic areas to support the fund’s investment decisions. Currently, she also serves as an intern for the Mid Atlantic Bio Angels, helping to organize investor meetings and acting as a liaison between investors and companies seeking investment. Prior to Global BioAccess Fund, Mayra was a Venture and Startup Creation Fellow at Mount Sinai Innovation Partners, which involved sourcing 50+ potential investors and performing due diligence.

​Mayra is a PhD Candidate in Cancer Biology and Bioinformatics at Rutgers University, where she investigates molecular pathways governing abiraterone resistance in metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer. She holds an M.S. in Chemistry from the University of Florida and a B.S. in Pharmacy from the University of Sao Paulo. Her research experience includes drug discovery of large and small molecules.
